We cannot see the greyed-out 'more information' at this time. After Folio discusses the work and makes a decision, we press one of the three buttons. Accepted means it's in the magazine, with a majority +2 vote, Waffle means a submission that is neither accepted or rejected. It is probably a evenly split vote, or majority +1. Waffles' fates are decided upon later on in the year.
Photography and artwork are not considered until very late in the year; however, our system will archive them in the "images" section until that time. The same process below follows. There are no image waffles.
-
If accepted, then...
The submission gets moved to the "accepted" category. The greyed out portion becomes available and we can then contact the author. A letter is sent to the artist's homeroom
- If rejected, then...
The submission gets moved to the "rejected" category. All information besides the Title is deleted or made unavailable. The advisor can still access the author's personal information and send them a rejection or critique letter. The rest of Folio does not know the artist's identity.
- If waffle, then...
The submission gets moved to the "waffle" category; the buttons are kept intact, but the contact information is not available. A letter is sent to the artist's homeroom explaining the waffle situation. The submission is reviewed again later in the year.
- 4. Wait for a letter in homeroom. If you made it, congratulations! If you didn't, don't let that discourage you. We hope to offer general feedback this year, and you can try submitting a revised copy. Or just submit other work. It's all good.
