What is Folio Coffeehouse?

Several times a year, Folio hosts a coffeehouse to raise funds to print the annual magazine. Students can sign up with Mr. Silbergeld to showcase their talents. You can read poems, sing, play guitar, perform slam poetry - almost anything. In 2008 a student performed a stand-up comedy routine at every coffeehouse. So get the band together and polish up your latest song, or pick out your favorite poem. Everyone's welcome to attend, and snacks are served!1

Admission is $5. Coffeehouse is always 6:30 PM in Cafeteria B, and ends around 10:00 PM if we're on schedule.

Coffeehouse Signups

Coffeehouse is an awesome opportunity for anyone to perform. Where else would you have a voluntarily captive audience?

In all sincerity, Coffeehouse provides a venue, but the performers are what bring the fun. It's free to sign up (and if you perform, entry is free too!), it's a good way to get heard, and it's what all the cool kids are doing. Evidently. Tell all your groupies to come too; we like those.

Unfortunately, signups are in-person only at this time. See Mr. Silbergeld in 232 or 113; Mr. Horn in the Project '79 Office, or any Folio staff member.
